First 5 Humboldt - Counting on Community Symposium

  • Sequoia Conference Center 901 Myrtle Avenue Eureka, CA, 95501 United States (map)

This Symposium will engage family service providers, health care professionals, early childhood educators, social workers, and community members to focus on how we work together to build belonging for all of Humboldt’s children and families through storytelling, movement and learning.

As a community, we have experienced an abundance of grief and loss over the last few years. For many, this grief has been compounded and deeply isolating. In order to collectively move toward a place of healing and hope, it is necessary to feel seen, heard and held by our community. When we cultivate connections where we are safe to share our stories, and listen to the stories of others, we build belonging. Through these connections we can envision a future where our children belong and can thrive in community.
